This cookbook was made for my senior thesis. When I was deciding what to make for my senior thesis, I knew I would be combining my graphic design skills and my photography. I wanted to do a personal project, but I couldn’t decide what to do. I ended up designing the cookbook after talking with my mom. I always talked about how I wanted to design a cookbook one day, and my mom always wanted her own recipes in a professional-looking book. This project took so much time to create, and my mom was with me every step of the way. She wrote the majority of the book, helped me with design choices, and came to the photoshoots with me. I wanted the book to have a light and approachable feel so people aren’t intimidated by the recipes. With that in mind, that lead me to choose these particular typefaces, the color palette, and the style of illustrations.
